DESCRIPTION:Election Day is January 17\, 2015\nThe Election is held on Saturday\, January 17\, 2015 at the SJCHC General Meeting\, St. Johns Equestrian Center\, Hastings. You will be voting for the President\, Vice-President and approval of the new Bylaws. \nNew Bylaws\nNow it is time to get informed. In addition to President and Vice President\, you are voting to approve new BYLAWS.  CLICK TO READ NEW BYLAWS. \n\n\nVoter Eligibility\nOnly Members in Good Standing over the age of 18 are eligible to vote. Membership dues\, Individual or Family; must be paid by December 31\, 2014 to vote. \n\nSo you can vote in the upcoming elections\, you should have already gotten your membership confirmation email. If you haven’t gotten that email\, please contact LaurieandPoco@gmail.com to confirm your membership and eligibility to vote.\nVoting\nFr. Don Dinwiddie\, an impartial third party; from St Paul’s Episcopal Federal Point will count the ballots. \nYou have two options for voting: \n1. An Absentee Ballot with instructions will be mailed 12/15 to all members. \n2. Vote in person at the January 17 meeting. \nFrom Terri:\nWe hope you plan to attend the Annual Membership Meeting from 11:30-2 on January 17 at the SJC Equestrian Center. SJCHC Members will be able to vote at the meeting\, or by absentee ballot\, for the new President and Vice-President. \nIMPORTANT: VOTING WILL TAKE PLACE DURING THE FIRST 30 MINUTES AFTER THE MEETING IS CALLED TO ORDER. FOR THOSE VOTING BY ABSENTEE BALLOT\, IT MUST BE POSTMARKED BY JANUARY 12.  You should have received your absentee ballot in the mail by now for election of the new President and Vice-President. If you have not received a ballot; OR if there is a problem with the ballot you received\, please contact Mary Farr hcf94@comcast.net. \nLaurie Newman has done an excellent job organizing and keeping up with our membership list\, and Mary Farr has done everything possible to make this election process comprehensive and forthright. Mary\, Brenda Jewell\, Claire Piatt\, and Beverly Foster joined forces to create an outstanding nominating/election committee. It’s a lot of work; we owe them a round of thanks for a job well done! \nSince first declaring their intentions to run for President and Vice-President\, Ali Smith and Valerie Hopkins have shown an interest in all SJCHC activities and a willingness to work with other members whenever and wherever needed. They organized the Fun Show and Games at the Equestrian Center and\, along with Cathy Fazio and Jackie Baggett\, the Drum Runners Barrel Show at the SJC Fairgrounds. Ali worked hard with the organizers and volunteers at the Ride and Dine in December\, and both ladies are involved in preparations for the upcoming events in 2015. \nThis year\, 2015\, promises to be a good year for the SJCHC and the SJC Equestrian Center. Beverly Foster and I will continue to be involved with the Board and continue to work on the projects for improvements at the EC that were initiated during our time as President and Vice-President. \nPlease try to attend the meeting on January 17 from 11:30–2. Bring a dish to share. We will provide the main course and drinks! \nAs always\, horses are welcome! Plan to ride before and/or after the meeting.
