DESCRIPTION:UNIVERSITY OF NORTH FLORIDA WESTERN HOME SHOW AND REGIONALS\nMARCH 2ND AND 3RD\, 2019 \nMarch 2nd-3rd 2019 Home Show Flyer \nCome join us at this year’s Western home show at the St. Johns County Equestrian Center! We will have two regular shows on Saturday starting at 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM\, and Sunday will be our Regionals competition for all riders who have qualified during this school year. \nWhether you are interested in joining a collegiate team\, or just want to see how our shows work all spectators are welcome. We will have six classes of riders competing\, ranging from Beginner Walk/Jog all the way up to Reining. \nWe are always in search of quiet Western trained horses for all rider levels to participate in our show. If you are interested in your horse possibly joining\, please contact us! This is a great experience for both the competitors and horses. \nHow do our collegiate shows work?\nOur riders get a random draw for their horse before classes\, so they  have no prior experience with that horse evening the playing field! All the horses we use are our own or are brought for us to use by local friends\, trainers\, and other schools. We travel around the state competing in at least five shows a year and then continue to semi-finals and finals and nationals if a rider qualifies based on points from wins. \nWhat kind of riding do we do?\nAll our levels compete in Horsemanship classes with rail work and patterns. Our top level of Open riders also competes in Reining. \nWho can join and ride?\nAnyone!! There is no prior riding experience required to join. The only requirement is that you must be a full-time undergraduate student that is currently enrolled. \nIf you would like to come out and observe\, our Saturday shows will start at 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM\, and Sunday will start at 9:00 AM. \nThere will not be any official team tables set up\, but feel free to talk to any riders dressed in a school that you may be interested in! \nFor more information or questions\, please contact hayleymmobley@gmail.com.
