Hurricane Preparation

REGARDING THE SJC EQUESTRIAN CENTER

No horses can be evacuated to the SJC Equestrian Center BEFORE or DURING the storm. After the storm has passed, and the SJCSO and Emergency Management have opened the roads for travel, horses may be kept at the SJC Equestrian Center, temporarily, while properties are being
made safe for their return.

Rules for evacuating horses to the SJC Equestrian Center (AFTER the storm has passed)

1. Call SJC Horse Council President, Donna Colee (904-814-7350 / chorsestable@aol.com), to check availability.
2. All animals MUST HAVE CURRENT COGGINS
3. The care, feeding, watering of the horse(s), and stall cleaning is the TOTAL
RESPONSIBILITY of the owner. Horses must be fed and watered AT LEAST twice daily. Stalls
must be cleaned during this time, also.

We encourage everyone to evaluate your property or the property where your horses are
kept, and have a plan to evacuate BEFORE a storm if appropriate.
